Advanced Diagnostics

Innovative Technology to Diagnose Pet Illness

Advanced diagnostics play a crucial role in identifying and treating various health conditions in pets. Our veterinary facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose and treat illnesses in pets more accurately and efficiently, without having to travel outside of Aberdeen.

In-House Laboratory

Blood work and urinalysis can be quickly evaluated in-house. Our artificial intelligence microscope allows us to receive board certified pathologist reports within hours so you can have a confident same-day diagnosis.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays allow us to obtain high-quality images of your pet’s bones, organs, and tissues in a quick and efficient manner. Unlike traditional x-rays, which require film development and can be time-consuming, digital x-rays provide immediate results that can be easily shared and stored for future reference. The high-quality images can be viewed on a computer screen within seconds, making the diagnostic process faster and more efficient. Additionally, digital x-rays use significantly less radiation than film x-rays, making them safer for your pet and our staff.

Ultrasounds

Dakota Pet Care sees the value of ultrasound for day-to-day diagnostics. Ultrasound is a non-invasive and painless diagnostic tool that allows us to visualize your pet’s internal organs and also can visualize their function. We use ultrasound to visualize the liver, gallbladder, urinary bladder, heart, eyes, tendons, masses, and more! Whether your pet is experiencing symptoms of illness, or you simply want to ensure their on-going health, an ultrasound can provide valuable information regarding the status of your pet’s health.

Endoscopy

Dakota Pet Care is proud to offer endoscopy as a minimally invasive option for diagnosis and treatment for certain upper gastrointestinal conditions, nasal or ear foreign bodies, and to be able to biopsy lesions affecting the urinary bladder, GI tract, or nose. We even have the ability to remove foreign bodies from the stomach.
